MacDonald Ranch is a large foothills plan in southeast Henderson. It includes several different neighborhoods: guard-gated areas such as The Foothills and MacDonald Highlands, a 55+ community called Sun City MacDonald Ranch, and a family neighborhood called Sunridge.

MacDonald Highlands

MacDonald Highlands is the guard-gated part of MacDonald Ranch, at the highest elevations of the plan. It has 24-hour guard gates and wide valley and Strip views.

According to the City of Henderson's January 2025 inventory, about 803 of 1,062 planned homes are built on 1,213 acres. That points to a smaller, more custom-lot community.

Price range: Homes in MacDonald Highlands typically range from $1.3M to $17M.

  • DragonRidge Country Club: A private 18-hole, par-72 course of 6,975 yards that opened in 2000. Club membership is separate from home ownership.
  • Security: 24-hour guard gates.
